Capability
Description
The S20A greatly expands the scope and capability of Bourns Switch
Power's High Density, Low Voltage (HDLV) product line. In a compact SIP
just 3 inches long the S20A provides 20 Amps of output current at voltages
between 1.25 and 3.5 V. Using the space saving packaging of a SIP,
the full featured S20A takes up just 1 in2of board space, and is only 1.0 inch
high. The S20A is also available in horizontal mount versions with
overall height of less than 0.4 inches.
The S20A is designed to work with the latest in 5 V distribution
architectures. It uses a 5 bit DAC to set the output between 1.25 and 3.5 V.
The programmable output allows standardization on a single part for
multiple output voltages. The S20A features superb dynamic response,
remote sense, remote enable, high temperature operation, and high
efficiency. The S20A is ideal for powering leading edge, high current ASICs,
microprocessors, and DSPs.
